Fashion designer Manish Malhotra has shared a glimpse of the backstage buzz from his Mijwan show, giving fans a look at actress Alia Bhatt’s last-minute preparations before she walked the runway.
Taking to Instagram, Malhotra posted a series of photographs capturing the excitement and chaos behind the fashion show, including moments of his team making final adjustments to the outfits and models waiting to take the stage.
One of the pictures showed Malhotra helping Alia drape her intricate chikankari saree, while another captured members of his team making final touches to her ensemble.
Sharing the photographs, Malhotra wrote, “It’s always the Backstage last minute final touches, the anxiousness, the model line up waiting to go on the ramp, the chaos, the feeling all of it has my heart #15yearsofMijwan.”
The post marked 15 years of Malhotra’s association with the Mijwan Welfare Society, with the showcase celebrating the craftsmanship of chikankari and thread embroidery.
Alia and Vicky Kaushal had earlier walked as showstoppers at Malhotra’s Mijwan showcase in Mumbai on September 26. Alia appeared in a custom ivory chikankari saree, styled by Rhea Kapoor, and completed the look with a contemporary blouse and matching veil.
Vicky complemented her in a midnight-blue and ivory sherwani from Malhotra’s Mijwan collection.
The showcase featured intricate embroidery and a palette spanning ivory, green, coral and ombré hues.
Alia and Vicky will next be seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Love & War’.
