Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has sparked excitement among movie fans after reuniting with her Bhediya co-star Varun Dhawan and the film’s director, Amar Kaushik, hinting that the trio may have something special in store.
Kriti shared a short video on her Instagram Stories on Monday, featuring herself, Varun and Amar smiling at the camera before letting out a howl, a playful reference to their 2022 horror-comedy.
Adding to the intrigue, the video carried the message: “An unexpected reunion that will get you ‘Obsessed’! Stay Tuned!!” Varun also reshared Kriti’s post on his official Instagram handle.
Although no official announcement has been made, the reunion has fuelled speculation that the trio could be preparing to announce Bhediya 2. However, the possibility remains unconfirmed.
Kriti and Varun have previously shared screen space in Dilwale and Bhediya. If the sequel materialises, it would mark their third on-screen collaboration.
In May, the two actors also spent an evening with friends, enjoying music and dancing. They were joined by Kriti’s sister, Nupur Sanon, her singer husband, Stebin Ben, and actor Varun Sharma, known for the Fukrey franchise.
The group was seen grooving to “Tera Ho Jaun”, a track from Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The romantic number has been sung by Stebin Ben and Jonita Gandhi, with lyrics written by Vayu.
Sharing the video, Kriti captioned it, “Tera Ho Jaun .. .. .. with the madness…Don’t miss the end.”
Released in November 2022, Bhediya follows Bhaskar, a road-construction contractor played by Varun Dhawan, who is bitten by a wolf while working in the forests of Arunachal Pradesh. He subsequently begins experiencing a mysterious transformation into a werewolf.
Kriti Sanon played Anika, a veterinarian who appears to know more about the strange occurrences than she initially reveals. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film blended horror, comedy and elements of Indian folklore.
While the reunion has generated curiosity, fans will have to wait for an official confirmation to learn whether a sequel is in the works.
