Ahmedabad, October 26, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested two men in connection with an alleged ₹1.27 crore investment fraud in Gujarat, in which investors were reportedly promised monthly returns of 2% and assured that their money would double or triple within two years.
The accused have been identified as Alkeshpuri Goswami, a resident of Katuda village in Surendranagar district, and Bhargav Pandya, a resident of Vadodara. Police said the arrests followed a complaint filed by Rajnikant Ramani, 37, who works in the construction business. The accused have been remanded for further investigation.
According to the complaint, Goswami and Virat Parmar established Discipline T&T Ventures Private Limited in 2023 and allegedly attracted investors by promising returns higher than those offered by nationalised banks and moneylenders.
The complainant allegedly invested ₹10 lakh, while other investors contributed another ₹1.17 crore, taking the total amount involved to ₹1.27 crore.
Police said the accused allegedly entered into agreements with some investors and initially made partial payments before stopping them. They are also accused of claiming that the funds had been invested in futures and options (F&O) trading through Pandya, with transactions allegedly routed through several bank accounts associated with him.
Investigators suspect that the accused acted in collusion to obtain financial gains and failed to return the investors’ principal amounts or pay the promised returns.
A case has been registered under Sections 316(2), 316(5), 318(4) and 54 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with Section 3 of the Gujarat Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 2003.
Police said a related case has also been registered at Adalaj police station. Investigators have identified 235 bank accounts linked to the accused, their family members and their companies, which are now under scrutiny.
Of these, approximately 150 accounts are associated with Pandya, his family members and his company, while around 10 are linked to Goswami, his relatives and his company.
The remaining accounts are also being examined as part of the investigation. Police are analysing financial transactions to determine whether additional investors may have been defrauded beyond those named in the original complaint.
The probe is also examining the accused persons’ bank transactions, lockers, properties and other assets. Virat Parmar, who is yet to be arrested, is being traced by investigators.
Police are further investigating six companies allegedly established in the names of the accused and their relatives: Persistence Investment Company LLP, Divyakshi Advisory LLP, Rudrakshi Advisory LLP, Krutakshi Data LLP, Trayaksh Corporation LLP, and Discipline Trader and Trainer.
Investigators are examining the companies’ activities and financial records to establish their possible links to the alleged fraud and determine the full extent of the suspected financial irregularities.
