Actress Disha Patani has completed 10 years in Bollywood and marked the milestone by revisiting one of the most memorable chapters of her career — her debut film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and her association with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Disha shared a throwback picture from the 2016 biographical sports drama on her Instagram Stories, featuring herself and Sushant. The picture shows the two actors smiling at each other, accompanied by the song Kaun Tujhe, sung by Palak Muchhal.
Reflecting on her decade-long journey, Disha expressed gratitude for the characters she has portrayed, the opportunities she received and the people who supported her along the way.
“Grateful to have completed a decade into this journey of exploring myself. Blessed to have lived through these beautiful characters that’ll stay with me forever and for everyone who gave me the opportunity to do so. Priyanka will always be close to my heart. Thank you for all the love and support. Beyond grateful,” she wrote.
Disha made her Hindi film debut as Priyanka Jha in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, which was headlined by Sushant in the role of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film also starred Kiara Advani and Anupam Kher. It traced Dhoni’s journey from his early years to his rise as one of Indian cricket’s most prominent players. The film released in theatres on September 30, 2016.
Sushant died on June 14, 2020. He was found dead at his residence in Mumbai. His death was investigated by multiple agencies and was officially treated as a case of suicide.
On the work front, Disha is set to make her Hollywood debut with the upcoming supernatural action thriller The Portal of Force.
