New Delhi, November 6, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Firefighting teams were engaged in efforts to control a blaze that broke out at a shop in Chain Wali Gali of Delhi’s Gaffar Market late Thursday night. The extent of the damage and whether anyone was injured or killed were not immediately known.

Fire personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information about the fire. Relief and firefighting operations were continuing, with further details awaited.

The incident comes on the same day as another major fire at a factory in the Narela Industrial Area of Outer North Delhi. The fire department received a call at around 9.05 a.m. and dispatched 10 fire tenders to the site. Firefighters worked to bring the flames under control. No casualties had been reported at the time, while the cause of the blaze remained unknown.

The two incidents follow a deadly fire at a shoe factory in the Mangolpuri Industrial Area on October 30. The blaze broke out at around 9.30 p.m. at a factory in Phase-I, prompting a major rescue and firefighting operation involving Delhi Police, fire personnel and other emergency teams.

Six people were rescued from the premises, all found unconscious. Four later died, while two others sustained serious injuries.

The latest incidents have renewed concerns over fire safety and emergency preparedness at commercial and industrial establishments in the national capital.
