New Delhi, Nov 7, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Jaisalmer Gold, an Indian gin positioned around rare ingredients and a distinctive production process, is bringing together Kashmiri saffron, 18 botanicals and a specialised gold-filtration technique in its Diwali gifting proposition.

The gin’s name draws on two elements central to its identity: Kashmiri saffron, often described as the gold of spices, and a filtration process in which the spirit passes through intertwined golden silk filaments. The brand says this process enriches the gin with gold ions and contributes to a clean, smooth and balanced finish.

The company describes the filtration as a production technique rather than the addition of visible gold flakes or leaf to the finished spirit.

Jaisalmer Gold uses 18 botanicals, with 14 sourced from different parts of India. These include Kashmiri saffron, rose petals and bay leaves from the Rampur Distillery garden, Darjeeling green tea, gandharaj lemon peel from Purnia, coriander from Jaisalmer, sweet orange peel from Nagpur and black pepper from Karnataka.

The remaining Indian ingredients include cinnamon bark, pink pepper, nutmeg, liquorice, vetiver and lemongrass. Juniper berries, angelica root, caraway seeds and cubeb pepper complete the botanical selection.

According to the brand’s launch communication, the Gold Edition is double-distilled before undergoing the special filtration process. Its botanical combination draws on regional Indian ingredients while retaining juniper as the defining element of gin.

Kashmiri saffron is among the most prized spices globally, valued for its colour, aroma and labour-intensive harvesting process. The brand uses it as both a botanical and a link to India’s distinctive agricultural heritage.

The product’s festive positioning also reflects growing interest in Indian-made spirits that highlight domestic ingredients and regional craftsmanship. By combining saffron, a broad Indian botanical selection and its gold-filtration technique, Jaisalmer Gold presents itself as an option for consumers seeking a distinctive spirit for Diwali gifting.
