Actor Priyanka Chopra has praised her husband, singer Nick Jonas, for adjusting his tour schedule to ensure he could be home with her for Karwa Chauth, saying the gesture made the festival especially meaningful.
Sharing pictures and videos from the celebrations on Instagram, Priyanka revealed that Nick had arranged his work commitments so he could be with her without being asked.
“He came home without me asking him to, knowing how much it would mean to me. He made sure the tour was set up to be home for Karwa Chauth,” she wrote, adding that there was “no one like my guy”.
Priyanka also shared glimpses of the celebrations with Nick and their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, and wished everyone observing the festival a happy Karwa Chauth.
Earlier, the actor had given followers a look at her festival preparations, including her mehendi decorated with a design dedicated to Nick. Sharing a photograph of her palm, she wrote, “Piya ke naam ki.. happy karwachauth to all those celebrating.”
She also posted another picture of the henna and referred to the traditional use of sugar syrup to deepen its colour, asking whether the chashni would work.
Nick is currently touring North America with his brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas as part of the Jonas Brothers’ ‘Burning Up Tour All Over Again’. The tour, inspired by their 2008 ‘Burning Up Tour’, began in New York on August 20 and is scheduled to continue through December, with performances across the United States and Canada.
Priyanka and Nick married in December 2018 in ceremonies following Christian and Hindu traditions. They welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, through surrogacy in January 2022.
