New Delhi, October 29, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kah lon on Thursday shared details of the ongoing court proceedings in cases related to alleged financial irregularities against former committee president Manjit Singh GK.

Addressing a joint press conference, Kalka and Kahlon said three cases had been registered against GK in connection with the alleged misuse of Guru’s Golak funds and other financial irregularities. According to them, bail bonds of ₹50,000 each had been furnished before the court in two cases, and the process of framing charges could move forward during upcoming hearings. They also claimed that a restriction on GK’s foreign travel was already in place in one of the cases.

Providing details of FIR No. 192/2020, registered on a complaint by former DSGMC General Secretary Gurmeet Singh Shanti, the leaders said the case involved allegations of the misappropriation of approximately 100,000 Canadian dollars received from abroad.

They said a family living overseas had sent the amount as dasvandh for a printing press intended to support the service of the Gurdwara. The complaint alleges that GK, along with his associates, misappropriated the funds.

Kalka and Kahlon also referred to allegations concerning the misuse of Guru’s Golak funds in the name of book printing and through allegedly fabricated water bills.

They further said that FIR No. 181/2022, registered on a complaint by Kahlon, involved allegations that ₹10 lakh had been irregularly withdrawn from the DSGMC in the name of GTB Institute of Technology (GTBIT) College.

Kalka and Kahlon said GK had for a long time alleged that the current committee was pursuing a political conspiracy against him. However, they maintained that the ongoing court proceedings had brought attention to the seriousness of the allegations concerning the alleged misappropriation and misuse of funds belonging to Guru’s Golak.

They said it was important to inform the Sikh sangat and the public about the developments in court, including the furnishing of bail bonds, the alleged restriction on foreign travel and the process of framing charges.

The DSGMC leaders further claimed that legal proceedings against GK would advance after charges were framed in all three FIRs. They also alleged that he could face imprisonment in connection with the cases.
