Mira Rajput has dismissed speculation that she and husband Shahid Kapoor are planning to welcome a third child, making it clear that their family is complete with their two children.
Mira made the remarks during an appearance on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chat show What Women Want. A promo released on Thursday offered a glimpse of the conversation, in which the two spoke about marriage, relationships and personal life.
When Kareena asked Mira about the silliest rumour she had heard about herself, Mira cited speculation that she and Shahid were expecting a third child.
Kareena responded playfully, “You might.” Mira quickly put the rumours to rest, saying, “No way, we are done.”
Ahead of the episode, Kareena shared a picture with Mira from the show’s sets on Instagram Stories, describing her as “absolutely warm and lovely”. Mira reshared the post, thanking Kareena for the invitation and saying she could not have asked for better company.
The appearance has also drawn attention because of Kareena’s past relationship with Shahid. The two were among Bollywood’s prominent couples after beginning to date in 2004, following their meeting during the making of Fida. They later shared screen space in films including Chup Chup Ke, 36 China Town and Jab We Met.
Kareena and Shahid parted ways in 2007, during the making of Jab We Met. Kareena married actor Saif Ali Khan in October 2012, and the couple has two sons, Taimur and Jehangir.
Shahid married Mira in July 2015. They have two children, Misha and Zain.
