Reality television star Kim Kardashian reportedly stopped her mother, Kris Jenner, from accepting an endorsement deal for adult incontinence products, turning down an opportunity that Jenner had jokingly welcomed for its potential multimillion-dollar payout.
The episode unfolded in the latest instalment of ‘The Kardashians’, when Jenner, 70, visited Kim on the set of her film ‘The Fifth Wheel’ and received the endorsement offer.
Speaking to the film’s director, Eva Longoria, Jenner revealed that the brand wanted her to promote its products. Longoria encouraged her to find out how much the deal was worth, prompting Jenner to joke about the possibility of earning millions and appearing in an adult diaper.
However, Jenner later disclosed in a confessional segment that the endorsement never materialised because Kim was opposed to the idea.
“I didn’t end up doing it. Kim said no. Kim is such a buzzkill. (It’s) just a diaper! Everyone’s gotta pee,” Jenner said.
The proposed partnership involved a major brand dealing in adult incontinence and postpartum care products. Jenner, widely known as the ‘momager’ of the Kardashian family, has helped build her family’s public profiles and business ventures over the years.
Kim, meanwhile, is taking an increasingly active role in managing the next generation of the family’s careers. She has previously spoken about becoming a ‘momager’ to her eldest daughter, North West, admitting that handling her daughter’s professional commitments has added considerably to her workload.
“I thought I was busy before,” Kim said in an earlier episode, describing the responsibility as demanding and something she had not anticipated.
