New Delhi, October 29, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin chaired a meeting of the party’s newly appointed national general secretaries at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday, with discussions focusing on future electoral strategy, organisational matters and the INDIA bloc’s scheduled anti-SIR protests on November 1.

The meeting was attended by BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh, along with general secretaries Vinod Tawde, Smriti Irani, Biplab Kumar Deb, Sunil Bansal, Satish Poonia, Sanjay Bhatia and others.

Sharing photographs of the meeting, held against the backdrop of the BJP’s strong performance in the recent Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections, the party said on X, “BJP National President Nitin Nabin held a meeting with the National General Secretaries at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi today, where he conducted detailed discussions on the upcoming action plan and various matters related to the organisation.”

The MLC elections for 28 seats across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka dealt a major blow to the Congress while boosting the BJP’s morale. However, the party’s success came amid electoral setbacks in some of its traditional strongholds.

Nabin is understood to have discussed an action plan for the BJP’s multi-pronged campaign ahead of Assembly elections scheduled in several states next year. The meeting also focused on devising a strategy to counter the Congress-led INDIA bloc’s campaign over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and its “vote chori” allegations.

On Wednesday, Nabin led a march through Delhi’s Chandni Chowk to counter what the BJP described as the Opposition’s “lies and canards” concerning alleged electoral malpractice, the SIR exercise and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The march was part of a broader campaign titled “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy”.

The campaign is aimed at countering the Opposition’s allegations of vote theft and electoral manipulation.

Reports said the meeting also discussed strengthening the BJP’s “Save Democracy” campaign, intensifying its public outreach and amplifying the party’s position on the voter revision exercise.
