Television actor Ravie Dubey has expressed deep admiration for his wife, actress and producer Sargun Mehta, describing her as the person he respects the most and saying he considers himself fortunate to have her as his life partner.
Appearing on the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, Dubey spoke about Sargun’s qualities and praised her ability to balance her roles in family life, friendships and business.
“Mere khyal mein sabse zyada izzat main Sargun ki karta hoon, apni patni ki karta hoon,” he said, adding that she was an exceptional daughter, sister, loyal friend, wife and businesswoman.
He also praised her ability to come up with breakthrough ideas and turn them into reality, saying she had the determination to take a concept from its initial stage to completion.
Reflecting on her qualities, Dubey said he often felt that he could not match those attributes because he believed he had many shortcomings of his own. He added that he remained in awe of her and felt lucky to have her as his wife.
The couple first met in 2009 on the sets of the television show 12/24 Karol Bagh, in which they played an on-screen couple. Their relationship developed beyond the show, and Dubey proposed to Mehta during the dance reality programme Nach Baliye 5 in 2012.
They got married on December 7, 2013, in Chandigarh.
Beyond acting, the couple have also built a career as producers through their banner, Dreamiyata Entertainment, launched in 2019. Their production credits include television shows such as Udaariyaan, Swarn Ghar and Junooniyatt, as well as Punjabi films including Kala Shah Kala, Saunkan Saunkane and Saunkan Saunkanay 2.
