Politician Raghav Chadha has praised his wife and actress Parineeti Chopra for her performance in the Netflix mystery thriller Shaque: Trust No One, calling the seven-episode series a gripping and suspenseful watch.
Sharing his review on social media, Raghav said the series kept him hooked until the end, with its twists repeatedly making him question what he thought he knew. He added that the central mystery left him eager to discover who was behind the kidnapping.
“Shaque had me hooked till the very end. The suspense keeps building, every episode makes you question what you think you know. By the end I only wanted one answer. Who was the kidnapper?” he wrote.
Recalling the premiere, Raghav said the occasion was made more special by the presence of their close friends and family.
He also singled out Parineeti’s performance as Anvita, writing, “You completely lived Anvita.” Setting aside his personal connection to the actress, he described the series as a “genuinely gripping, nail biting watch” and encouraged viewers to watch it on Netflix.
Shaque: Trust No One stars Parineeti Chopra alongside Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni and Sumeet Vyas. The mystery thriller follows a mother’s search for her daughter after the child goes missing. The series began streaming on Netflix on September 24.
Parineeti had earlier spoken about shooting for Shaque while pregnant. At the trailer launch, she revealed that she and Raghav discovered the pregnancy only after filming had already begun.
The actress said she felt grateful that the project’s makers — director Siddharth Sen, Rensil D’Silva and Sapna Bhavnani — were involved, as she did not want the production to be affected by her pregnancy.
She also said she and Raghav often joked that they were fortunate she was pregnant while working on this particular project.
