The makers of Netflix’s upcoming thriller series ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ have unveiled its trailer, offering a glimpse into a mother’s nine-year-long search for her missing child and the secrets that emerge along the way.
Headlined by Parineeti Chopra, the series explores trust, suspicion and betrayal as her character refuses to believe that her child is gone and embarks on a relentless search for the truth.
The trailer shows her journey taking an unexpected turn as she begins uncovering clues that force her to question the people closest to her. At the heart of the mystery is a disturbing question — can she trust those around her?
Chopra, who plays the mother and makes her series debut with the show, said the story was unlike anything she had done before. She said the character’s determination and maternal instinct to find and protect her child deeply resonated with her.
“There is an instinct that comes with motherhood — you would do absolutely anything for your child,” Chopra said, adding that she connected strongly with the character’s refusal to stop searching for her child.
Jennifer Winget said she was drawn to the ambiguity of the characters, noting that none of them could be viewed simply as good or bad. According to her, every character carries a history, motive and secret that gradually adds new layers to the mystery.
Soni Razdan said the series explores how trust, suspicion and hidden secrets shape human relationships, while keeping motherhood and its emotional complexity at the centre of the narrative.
Anup Soni, who has featured in several mystery projects, said ‘Shaque’ goes beyond a conventional whodunit by constantly challenging viewers’ assumptions about its characters, relationships and circumstances.
Sumeet Vyas, meanwhile, said returning to Netflix after ‘Chumbak’ was particularly exciting, describing the series as a layered and unpredictable world featuring an ensemble of actors he admires.

The show features Parineeti Chopra alongside Jennifer Winget, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harleen Sethi, Sumeet Vyas and Dhruv Chowdhary.
‘Shaque: Trust No One’ will premiere on Netflix on September 24.
