Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared glimpses of his morning routine, featuring his regular interactions with peacocks and miniature cattle at his official residence.
Sharing videos from the morning of Independence Day, August 15, Modi said the animals and birds appeared to sense that he would be leaving earlier than usual to attend the celebrations at the Red Fort and came to meet him before his departure.
In the video posted on Instagram, the Prime Minister is seen feeding grains to peacocks during his morning walk and exercise session. He is also seen feeding and gently petting indigenous and miniature cattle kept at his residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.
“Feeding my friends every morning is a daily routine. Yesterday morning, they somehow realised I’m leaving early so they came to meet me as I was leaving for the Red Fort. Special, as always!” Modi wrote.
Peacocks have frequently been seen accompanying the Prime Minister during his early morning walks and exercise sessions on the lawns of his residence. His interactions with the birds and animals have previously drawn public attention and generated considerable interest on social media.
Modi also keeps indigenous and miniature cattle breeds at his official residence. Among those highlighted during his interactions is a miniature cattle breed native to Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district. The breed is recognised as one of the world’s smallest humped cattle breeds, with the animals generally standing around 70 to 90 cm tall.
The latest video offered another glimpse into the Prime Minister’s personal routine and his regular engagement with the animals and birds at his residence.
