Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora has announced a holiday for all educational institutions in Amritsar district on August 17.
The decision comes in appreciation of the cooperation extended by educational institutions, teachers and students during the successful conduct of the district-level Independence Day celebrations in Amritsar on August 15.
According to the announcement, all educational institutions falling under Amritsar district will remain closed on August 17.
