Actor Namrata Shirodkar marked husband Mahesh Babu’s birthday on Sunday with a heartfelt social media message, wishing the Telugu superstar love, good health and happiness in the year ahead.
Sharing a family photograph featuring Mahesh Babu, their daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni and son Gautam, Namrata wrote on Instagram, “Happy Birthday MB! Thank you for making every day so special. Wishing you the happiest birthday and a year filled with love, good health and endless happiness. We love you so much.”
Their daughter Sitara also shared a special birthday message for her father. Posting a photograph in which Mahesh Babu kisses her on the head, she wrote, “Happy Birthday, Nanna. Forever my favourite person. Love you always.”
Mahesh Babu’s birthday also brought a major update for fans of his upcoming film ‘Varanasi’. The makers unveiled his first look as Rudhra, showing the actor aboard a bamboo raft and, in another frame, standing amid a vast wilderness.
Sharing the first look, the film’s team described Rudhra as having more than just a fierce side.
Director SS Rajamouli, who is helming the much-awaited project, also shared his thoughts on Mahesh Babu’s character. He said Rudhra was born with a purpose greater than himself and carried a destiny he had not chosen.
Rajamouli described Rudhra as witty, vulnerable and fierce, adding that Mahesh Babu brought both fierceness and fragility to the character.
Recalling the film’s Africa schedule, Rajamouli said shooting around Mount Kilimanjaro and the Maasai Mara had left a lasting impression on him. He noted that the scale of the locations was so striking that even the 1.43:1 IMAX frame seemed unable to fully capture what was before the camera.
