Actor Kunal Kemmu has praised India’s World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma for his ability to transform any gathering into a stadium-like atmosphere in the latest promo of the upcoming entertainment show “Family Full House with Rohit Sharma”.
The promo offers a glimpse of the fun and camaraderie expected in the premiere episode, with cricketers Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur pulling Sharma’s leg in their trademark style. The banter continues as Kemmu applauds Sharma’s ability to create an electrifying atmosphere wherever he goes.
“Ye kaam sirf Rohit Sharma hi kar sakte hai ki audience kahi bhi ho usse stadium bana hi dete hai,” Kemmu said.
The promo also shows the cricketers and other guests letting their hair down, with the group breaking into an impromptu dance to the popular song “Koi Sehri Babu”.
“Family Full House with Rohit Sharma” will premiere on September 19 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV. The opening episode will feature Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Abhishek Nayar, Dr Aditya Daftary, Kunal Kemmu, Sparsh Shrivastava, Nirahua and Vanshika Dhir.
Speaking about the significance of the premiere date, Sharma recalled an important milestone in his career.
“19 September ko mera T20 mein debut hua. Aur, 19 September, television par mera debut hoga,” he said.
Sharma has retired from Test and T20 cricket but continues to represent India in the ODI format. The show marks his television debut.
Sony Pictures Networks India announced the programme on August 31 with the release of a teaser built around Sharma’s now-famous dressing-room remark, “Koi bhi garden mein nahi ghumega,” which became a widely shared meme after being picked up by stump microphones.
Referring to the viral moment, Sharma joked in the teaser: “Do line kya bol di, itna viral ho gaya. Jab mera poora show aayega toh kya hoga?”
The premiere episode will air simultaneously on television and streaming platforms on September 19.
