New Delhi, October 28, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Indian Army has flagged an alleged coordinated disinformation campaign by several Pakistan-based social media accounts that circulated misleading content linking claims of Indian soldiers being humiliated in Arunachal Pradesh with an image of the Army Chief purportedly dancing in a nightclub.

In a post on X on Wednesday, the Army’s official fact-check account said the material had been manipulated using blurry visuals, AI-edited content and an image of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) superimposed with a misleading caption to create an anti-Indian Army narrative.

“Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour Exposed,” the account said, warning users against circulating unverified content.

The post stated that several Pakistan-based accounts were falsely claiming that Indian soldiers were facing humiliation in Arunachal Pradesh while the Army Chief was seen dancing in a nightclub.

According to the Army’s fact-check account, the video had been altered and presented in a way intended to mislead viewers and undermine the institution’s credibility.

The account identified 10 social media handles allegedly involved in sharing the content between 12.40 am and 8 am on October 28. The handles named were @Keziabo2n, @Diksha_sharma03, @IndiaGenzzz, @ThokaReturns, @NilakshiRabhaIN, @BabaThokaIndia, @Clashfire_, @PatelKush51313, @khalsavision2 and @NetaNamaX.

The Army urged users to check original footage and seek credible evidence before sharing videos or claims circulating online.

The latest fact-check follows another alert issued by the Army on Monday over a video purportedly showing Indian personnel transporting wounded soldiers after an alleged confrontation with Chinese People’s Liberation Army troops in Arunachal Pradesh.

In that instance, the Army said social media accounts were circulating misleading claims about the footage and its purported connection to a clash with Chinese forces.

The successive alerts highlight the Army’s efforts to counter what it describes as misleading online content involving military personnel and sensitive border regions.

The allegations regarding the accounts and the manipulation of the latest video were made by the Indian Army’s official fact-check account.
