Music composer Aman Pant has spoken about the recognition his song Ashirwad Ka Diya received from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying such acknowledgement can give artists a significant boost in confidence.

The song, composed by Pant and sung by Sneha Shankar, was released as a musical tribute to mark Modi’s 76th birthday and 25 years in public life. Modi subsequently reposted the song on his social media account and described it as an expression of affection that had deeply touched him.

Speaking to IANS, Pant said recognition from the Prime Minister can help artists reach audiences who may otherwise not come across their work.

“If the Prime Minister of a country shares your song, it has to be a big deal,” Pant said, adding that such gestures can increase an artist’s confidence.

He said artists are ordinary people and suggested that the Prime Minister’s engagement with their creative work can help bring their voices to a wider audience.

“An artist is an ordinary man, an ordinary artist, an ordinary man of the country,” Pant said. He added that encouragement from the country’s top elected office can help artists from different backgrounds gain greater visibility.

Pant also spoke about how Modi’s work ethic and energy have inspired him personally. He said he often wonders how someone can continue working at such a pace without getting tired.

“My wife always tells me this thing. She always gives example of Modi ji. That he is running the country till morning and evening. And you get tired of these small things,” he said.

Pant added that Modi’s energy levels are a source of inspiration for him and said he believes the Prime Minister’s public persona connects with people across age groups.

The conversation followed the release of Ashirwad Ka Diya, which Pant and Shankar dedicated to Modi’s birthday and his 25 years in public life. Reports on the release said the song was presented as a personal musical tribute.

In response to the song, Modi wrote that Ashirwad Ka Diya was “one such expression of affection” that had deeply touched him and said such blessings strengthened his resolve to serve the country with greater devotion.
