Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared a reflective note on returning gradually to his daily routine, describing how even familiar habits can feel unfamiliar after a break.
In a post on his blog, the veteran actor spoke about the small everyday things he sometimes struggles to remember, including where he has left his glasses or mobile phone and what he was supposed to do next.
Contrasting these moments with his ability to recall details from decades ago, Bachchan said his memories of Class 8 at school in 1960 remained remarkably clear.
“Oh! Where did I leave my glasses .. the mobile .. and most importantly .. what was I supposed to do next… the deeds and acts done just a couple of hours ago .. lost in oblivion .. but what Class 8 was like in School 1960 at your finger-tips .. 66 years at the back of your hand .. and now .. a searching!” he wrote.
Reflecting on his gradual return to work and a more structured lifestyle, he described it as a “gentle but slow return to routine and the controlled life”.
Despite these occasional lapses, Bachchan said staying connected with his blog followers, Sunday well-wishers and the audience of his television quiz show remained a constant priority.
He expressed gratitude for the affection and warmth he receives from readers and viewers, ending his message with prayers for them.
Bachchan is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), the Indian adaptation of the internationally popular quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
On the film front, he is associated with filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s upcoming sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, which also stars Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
