Actor Tiger Shroff will not be making a public appearance at a Mumbai book launch on November 3, contrary to reports suggesting that the event would mark his first public outing since the firing incident outside a football club in the city last month.
The actor’s spokesperson has dismissed the reports as baseless, clarifying that Tiger is not scheduled to attend the launch of actor and wellness author Claudia Ciesla’s book, Beyond Weight Loss: Eating, Healing & Ageing with Claudia’s Concept.
“The news circulating regarding Tiger Shroff making a public appearance for a book launch happening on November 3, is completely baseless. Not true at all,” the spokesperson said.
Speculation about the actor’s return to public engagements had grown after reports claimed he was expected to attend the event at a Mumbai hotel. Tiger has maintained a low public profile since the October 18 firing incident.
The shooting was reported outside a football club near Pushpa Narsee Park in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Tiger escaped unhurt, while his driver and an autorickshaw driver sustained injuries.
Three men suspected of involvement in the firing were subsequently arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, in a joint operation by the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force and Kota City Police, reportedly acting on information provided by Mumbai Police.
The accused, two from Haryana and one from Bihar, are suspected of having links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Investigators are reportedly examining their alleged roles in carrying out the shooting and facilitating the escape after the incident.
The attack had prompted concern across the film industry, with several members of the fraternity condemning the incident and expressing concern for the safety of the actor and his family.
