Actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia has travelled to Gujarat to begin shooting for her upcoming project, which she says will give her an opportunity to explore a new character and a genre she has not worked in before.
Expressing her excitement about the assignment, Nimrit said she was keen to challenge herself as an actor and discover new aspects of her craft.
“I’m really excited to begin this new project, as it brings with it the opportunity to explore a completely new character and step into a genre I haven’t explored before,” she said in a statement.
The actress added that every project offered a learning experience and that she was looking forward to bringing her new character to life. She said she could not reveal many details at this stage but was eager for audiences to see the work.
According to sources close to the project, Nimrit travelled to Gujarat in mid-October to begin preparations and shooting. The makers have not yet disclosed the title, storyline or other details of the production, with an official announcement expected later.
The actress recently offered fans a glimpse of her preparations by sharing a photograph of her script from a gurdwara, expressing gratitude to Waheguru for the opportunity.
A source said Nimrit had been actively participating in auditions, workshops and preparations while also completing work on two other projects.
“She is looking forward to this new opportunity and is excited to get started,” the source said, adding that details were being kept under wraps until the appropriate time for an announcement.
The upcoming assignment marks another step in Nimrit’s acting journey, with the actress signalling her intention to take on roles that push her beyond familiar territory.
