Bhojpuri actress Kajal Raghwani has opened up about one of the darkest phases of her life on Rise and Fall Season 2, revealing that she once attempted suicide and had cut her wrist.
The revelation came during a conversation in the Tower after fellow contestant Niharika Tiwari noticed a mark on Kajal’s hand and asked about it. Kajal responded candidly that she had cut herself while attempting to take her own life.
Her admission left the other contestants visibly shocked. Manish Kashyap reacted by saying that while people may love someone deeply, they should also learn to let go when that person no longer reciprocates their feelings.
When the conversation turned to what had led Kajal to such an extreme step, Niharika suggested that it could have been related to love. Kajal, however, clarified that the decision was something she had done for herself.
Asked why she would hurt herself, Kajal explained the state of mind she was in at the time, saying that she did not want to live and could not understand the world around her.
Kajal has previously spoken on the show about difficult relationships and emotional struggles. In another conversation, she discussed her relationship with Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav, saying the two became close while working together and eventually fell in love.
She said she was not the only woman to have fallen in love with a married man and described the relationship as one that developed while they were working together.
Kajal also claimed that she had been in a five-year relationship with Khesari and said he would still miss her. However, she later clarified that the man she had accused of physically abusing her was not Khesari.
According to Kajal, the physical abuse took place in another relationship, but she chose not to disclose that person’s identity.
Rise and Fall Season 2 is produced by Banijay Asia and hosted by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag.
