Actress Tejasswi Prakash has opened up about her close friendship with Elvish Yadav, saying their bond remains strong even as they prepare to compete against each other on the upcoming fifth season of the gaming reality show ‘Playground’.
Tejasswi, who is joining Elvish and Aarush Bhola on the show, spoke to IANS alongside her co-stars during the promotional activities in Mumbai.
Asked whether the competitive nature of ‘Playground’ could affect their friendship, Tejasswi said they understand the demands of the format while remaining confident that their personal equation will remain unchanged.
“I think we are smart enough. But at the same time, we also know that a lot of people take this show very seriously. So it’s not like we cannot be competitive. We have to be competitive for their sake. But at the same time, we will be the way we are. We are the same,” she said.
The actress said their habit of constantly pulling each other’s leg is part of what makes their friendship special, describing it as their “love language” as friends.
Tejasswi also revealed that the two often have serious conversations about friendship and life and remain deeply supportive of each other.
“I think it’s our love language. But there are times when we have intense conversations about friendship and life. We are loyal to each other as friends,” she said.
She added that whenever something significant happens in either of their lives, they instinctively look for each other.
“If something’s hurt him, or if someone has hurt me, if something’s happened, I need to find him to tell him first. And he will come searching for me. So he has to find me first. We keep looking for each other,” Tejasswi said.
“Whether it’s a happy moment or a sad moment, if there’s anything drastic, we look for each other first. Nothing changes like that,” she added.
