Actor Gajraj Rao took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he marked five years of directing the promotional television commercial for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, featuring lead actors Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta.
Sharing behind-the-scenes photographs and a still from the promotional shoot on social media, Gajraj recalled the experience of working on the campaign ahead of the show’s launch in 2021.
“Five years since directing this TVC for Sony’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. It was a pleasure working with the show’s incredibly talented lead cast. Time flies, but the memories of creating it remain just as special,” he wrote.
Disha Parmar reshared Gajraj’s post on her social media account and expressed her appreciation for the filmmaker-actor. “What a pleasure to have worked with you Sir! @gajrajrao,” she wrote.
The promotional campaign was released ahead of the premiere of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, which debuted on Sony Entertainment Television on August 30, 2021. Produced by Ekta Kapoor under the Balaji Telefilms banner, the series featured Nakuul Mehta, Disha Parmar, Shubhaavi Choksey, Sneha Namanandi, Alefia Kapadia, Ajay Nagrath, Aarohi M. Kumawat and Abhinav Kapoor, among others.
The show served as the successor to the hugely successful Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (2011), starring Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, which remains one of Indian television’s most popular romantic dramas.
Gajraj Rao, known for acclaimed performances in films such as Badhaai Ho, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Maidaan and Lootcase, also has a long association with the advertising industry and has assisted filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar on several commercial projects.
