YSRCP’s Lakshmi Parvathi challenges Bhuvaneswari to substantiate Assembly insult claim

Amaravati, July 31, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State General Secretary Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi on Friday challenged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s wife, Nara Bhuvaneswari, to substantiate her claim that she was insulted in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, asserting that the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has full access to Assembly records and should make them public if the allegation is genuine.

Addressing a press conference at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, Lakshmi Parvathi described Bhuvaneswari’s recent remarks during her visit to Kuppam as false and alleged that the issue was being used to generate political sympathy.

She argued that since the TDP is currently in power, it has unrestricted access to official Assembly proceedings and could release the relevant records to support the claim instead of relying on political narratives.

Lakshmi Parvathi, the second wife of TDP founder and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), also alleged that Bhuvaneswari had been drawn into active politics by her husband Chandrababu Naidu and son Nara Lokesh for political purposes. She maintained that the YSRCP had never made personal remarks against Bhuvaneswari.

The YSRCP leader further questioned why Bhuvaneswari had remained silent over alleged online abuse directed at her, despite being NTR’s legally wedded wife, and why she had not spoken out against abusive trolling targeting women associated with the YSR family or incidents involving crimes against women and children in the state.

Lakshmi Parvathi also criticised the TDP-led coalition government, claiming it had failed to fulfil several election promises, including the Aadabidda Nidhi scheme, free LPG cylinders and other welfare commitments. She contrasted this with the administrations of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, asserting that they honoured their electoral promises.

Welcoming Bhuvaneswari’s entry into active politics, Lakshmi Parvathi said she should first apologise to the people of Andhra Pradesh for what she described as the “Red Book governance” under Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh before seeking a larger political role.

The “Red Book” became a prominent campaign symbol during the 2024 Assembly elections, with Nara Lokesh claiming it contained the names of individuals, including officials, who had allegedly targeted TDP leaders during the previous YSRCP government. The YSRCP has consistently alleged that the TDP is pursuing vendetta politics by filing false cases against its leaders.
