Shri Ravneet Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways, Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India flagged off first of its kind “ 5 Takht special ‘ Special Pilgrim Train from Hazur Sahib Nanded to five Holi Shrines of Sikhism at Nanded Railway Station today i.e., 25th August, 2024.
The special train to five Takhat Sahiban was organized by Shahid Baba Bhujang Singh ji Charitable Trust, Nanded. Jahender Singh Sahib Sant Baha Kulwant Singh Ji, Sant Baba Jyotinder Singh Ji, Sant Baba Narinder Singh Ji, Sant Baba Balwinder Singh ji, Baba Ramsingh Ji, Shri B. Nagya, Principal Chief Operations Manager, South Central Railway, Smt. Neeti Sarkar, Divisional Railway Manager, Nanded Division and other senior railway officials were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ravneet Singh stated that, the first special train covering 5 holy shrines of Sikhism was a tribute by Indian Railways to connect the people and enhance the spirituality culture and nationalism.
He said that, Indian Railways is making all efforts to provide comfortable and convenient rail travel facilities to the people of the region.
Indian Railways has allocated and unprecedented budget in the current financial year to develop rail infrastructure.
Efforts are being made to provide special focus on developments of various railway stations in Marathwada region under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
This ‘5 Takht special train’ special pilgrim train is dedicated to Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj ke phele parkash Parv. The train will start from Huzoor Sahib Railway Station to Patna Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, Damdama Sahib and Sri Amritsar Sahib.
It is a total 12 days travel Yatra accommodates 1300 devotees total free of cost and every stoppage more than 20000 devotees would pay their respect.
The first coach in the train is a saloon in which the Guru Granth Sahib ji will be present. Langar facility is available for the devotees in the pantry car for complete journey.
Every coach is fitted with speaker in which the devotees will be listening to kirtans. This train will cover the holy centres of Patna Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, Fatehgarh Sahib, Damdama Sahib and Sri Amritsar Sahib.
This special train will commenced journey on 25th August and completes the trip on 6th September, 2024 to reach H.S.Nanded.
