Actress Alia Bhatt and social media personality Orry recreated the iconic Poo look from the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (K3G), earning a reaction from none other than Kareena Kapoor, who originally portrayed the much-loved character.
On Thursday, Orry shared a hilarious video on his official Instagram handle in which he was seen wearing a pink shimmery crop top paired with a beige-tan mini skirt and a faux fur stole, recreating one of Poo’s most memorable looks from the film.
An excited Orry asked Alia, “Alia, how am I looking?” When Alia responded with laughter, Orry pointed out, “Alia, it’s not funny; you asked me to dress like Kareena.”
“I asked you to dress like Winnie the Pooh, not Poo,” Alia replied.
An upset Orry then walked out of the room.
Kareena, the original Poo, reacted to the post in the comments section, writing, “Too good,” followed by a red heart emoji.
Responding to Kareena, Orry wrote, “@kareenakapoorkhan wait for the next one.”
Alia also joined the conversation, commenting, “What’s at the back??” along with a face-with-tears-of-joy emoji. Replying to her, Orry wrote, “a party.”
Over the years, Kareena’s portrayal of Poo has become one of Bollywood’s most iconic characters. The character has not only inspired fashion enthusiasts but has also come to represent the confidence and outspoken attitude associated with young women of the early 2000s.
From her blush-pink lehenga in ‘Bole Chudiyan’ to her red dress in ‘You Are My Soniya’, Kareena’s outfits in ‘K3G’ continue to hold a special place in the memories of film and fashion enthusiasts.
Alia and Kareena share a warm rapport and have also appeared together on ‘Koffee with Karan Season 8’. During the show, host and filmmaker Karan Johar asked Kareena, in true Poo style, who could be the “new-age Poo”. Kareena responded, “Not applicable,” suggesting that no one could replace her in the memorable role.
