New Delhi, October 29, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Delhi Police Crime Branch has busted an alleged international drug trafficking network operating in the Delhi-NCR region and arrested four people, including three Nigerian nationals and an Indian, officials said on Thursday. The accused are suspected of procuring, possessing and distributing commercial quantities of cocaine and MDMA.

The arrested accused have been identified as Nnamdi Osita alias Johan Peter, 46, Victor Ocaforo, 33, Obinna Mike Ernest, 32, and Attar Singh alias Lucky, 23. According to the Crime Branch’s Eastern Range-I, the investigation indicates that the accused were allegedly involved in wholesale and retail drug supply through a network of associates.

Three Accused Arrested During Raid

Officials said a Crime Branch team was formed on September 25 to gather intelligence about drug traffickers operating across Delhi-NCR.

During surveillance near Vikaspuri, Head Constable Surya Prakash received information that Nigerian national Nnamdi Osita and his associates were allegedly supplying cocaine and MDMA in the region. The team was also informed that Osita would deliver narcotics near Shukar Bazar Road in Chander Vihar.

Acting on the tip-off, police reached the location, where the informer identified Osita. When he allegedly handed a suspicious white packet to another person, the three suspects attempted to flee into a nearby building but were apprehended on its third floor, officials said.

Searches led to the recovery of suspected narcotics from the trouser pockets of the accused. Police said the seized substances weighed 55 grams and 301 grams of MDMA, and 105 grams of cocaine. The substances were taken into police possession.

Fourth Accused Arrested in Nilothi

During interrogation, Osita and Ernest allegedly disclosed their drug supply links with Attar Singh, a resident of Nilothi in Delhi.

Following their disclosures, the Crime Branch arrested Singh from his residence at Meera Kunj in Nilothi and recovered another 61 grams of MDMA, officials said. The contraband was seized in accordance with legal procedures.

A case was registered on September 26 at the Crime Branch police station under Sections 21, 22, 25 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Immigration Law Provisions Added

Police further said the three Nigerian accused could not produce passports, visas or other documents authorising their stay in India during the investigation.

Consequently, Section 23 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, was added to the case, officials said.

Further investigation and legal proceedings are underway to establish the alleged trafficking network’s operations and links.
