An Agniveer Recruitment Rally will be held at Government Arts and Sports College, Jalandhar, from November 14 to 22, 2026, to recruit eligible candidates into the Indian Army under the Agnipath Scheme.

More than 6,000 candidates who have qualified in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) are expected to participate in the rally. The candidates will be drawn from Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (SBS Nagar) districts.

The rally will also include the selection of eligible women candidates from Punjab, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and the Union Territory of Ladakh, providing women aspirants an opportunity to pursue a career in the Indian Army and serve the nation.

The recruitment process will include several physical fitness tests and assessments. These will comprise a 1.6-kilometre run to assess endurance and stamina, a beam test to evaluate upper-body strength, and physical measurements to verify compliance with prescribed height, weight and other physical standards. Candidates who qualify in the physical fitness tests will subsequently undergo a medical examination to determine their fitness for enrolment in the Indian Army.

The recruitment process will be conducted in a fair, transparent and systematic manner in accordance with the Indian Army’s recruitment policies and eligibility criteria. Candidates have been advised to carefully read the official recruitment notifications, ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements and carry the necessary documents for the rally.

Candidates and their parents have also been urged to remain vigilant against touts and unscrupulous individuals who may promise recruitment or selection in exchange for money. Recruitment into the Indian Army is based strictly on merit and the prescribed selection criteria, and no individual or agent can guarantee selection.

Aspirants have been advised not to pay money to anyone offering recruitment assistance and to report any suspicious activity or demand for money to the recruitment authorities immediately.

The Indian Army has encouraged eligible youth, including women aspirants, to participate in the rally and take advantage of the opportunity to serve the nation with pride, honour and dedication.

Candidates can scan the QR code provided in the official recruitment information to learn about the documents required during the rally’s documentation process.
