New Delhi, October 18, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet against four more accused in connection with a grenade attack carried out near a Women Police Station in Sirsa, Haryana, in November 2025, officials said on Sunday.

The supplementary chargesheet was filed on Saturday before the NIA Special Court in Panchkula against Rajbir Singh alias Fouji, Ved Parkash alias Pamma, Jiwanjot Singh Grewal alias Jyoti and Chirag Thakral in connection with the attack on November 25, 2025. The case is registered as RC-24/2025/NIA/DLI.

The case was initially registered as FIR No. 710/2025 at the Civil Line Police Station in Sirsa on November 26, 2025. The NIA took over the investigation and re-registered it on December 30, 2025.

Earlier, on May 24, the agency had filed a chargesheet against nine accused before the NIA Special Court in Panchkula. Those named included Pakistani nationals Shahzad Bhatti and Sohail Ahmad alias Sohail Baloch, officials said.

According to the NIA, the supplementary chargesheet details the alleged conspiracy, the individual roles of the four accused and the evidence collected during further investigation. The accused have been charged under Sections 61(2) read with 109 and 238 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Sections 5 and 6 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908; and Sections 18, 18B and 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

Investigators allege that Rajbir Singh alias Fouji acted as the India-based coordinator of a cross-border network and worked with handlers based abroad to facilitate the collection and movement of weapons, hand grenades and narcotics in India.

The agency further alleged that Chirag Thakral, Jiwanjot Singh Grewal alias Jyoti and Ved Parkash alias Pamma operated under Rajbir Singh’s directions and played key roles in facilitating the movement of explosives used in the attack near the Women Police Station in Sirsa.

“The attack was carried out by members of the Shahzad Bhatti network, acting pursuant to an organised conspiracy, with the intention of causing harm to police personnel and of creating terror and fear among the general public. NIA’s investigation has traced the conspiracy in the case to foreign-based handlers operating a cross-border terror network,” the agency said in a statement.

The NIA said further investigation was underway to identify and apprehend other people allegedly involved in the conspiracy and to uncover the full extent of the cross-border network behind the attack.
