Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are known for their lively chemistry, but one of their off-screen memories stands out for its unexpected twist. Deepika once revealed that she had to stitch Ranveer’s torn pants while the two were attending a music festival in Barcelona.
During an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, Deepika recalled how the mishap occurred while Ranveer was dancing with his trademark energy. The actor had worn a pair of loose pants, which tore as he performed some dance moves.
Recalling the moment, Deepika said, “Usne kuch loose sa ek pant pehna tha aur woh kuch ajeeb step kar raha tha. Beech mein woh pharr karke phat gaya pant” — he was wearing loose pants and doing an unusual dance step when they suddenly tore.
Deepika said she immediately stepped in to help. She took a needle and thread out of her bag and began repairing the damaged garment while the party continued around them.
“So I was like, ‘Wait.’ Maine apne bag se sui nikaala, dhaaga nikaala. Sab log aise dance kar rahe hai aur party ke beech mein main uska pant sila rahi thi,” she recalled, describing how she stitched his pants as everyone else continued dancing.
The couple married in Italy in 2018 after a long courtship. Their wedding celebrations included a traditional Konkani ceremony followed by an Anand Karaj.
They welcomed their first daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024, and became parents for the second time on September 19, 2026, with the arrival of another daughter.
Ranveer and Deepika have shared screen space in several films, including Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Padmaavat (2018) and 83 (2021).
