Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has called the 13th Session of the 16th Punjab Legislative Assembly to reconvene on October 22, 2026, at 11 am in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Hall, Vidhan Bhavan, Chandigarh.
The Assembly, which was adjourned sine die on August 10, 2026, has been summoned to meet again under the second proviso to Rule 16 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
According to the tentative date-wise programme issued for the reconvened sittings, the proceedings will begin on Thursday, October 22, at 11 am with obituary references, followed by non-official business.
On Friday, October 23, the House will assemble at 10 am for official business.
The Assembly will observe holidays on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25. Monday, October 26, has also been declared a gazetted holiday.
The House will meet again on Tuesday, October 27, at 2 pm for legislative business.
The agenda for October 27 also includes a motion under Rule 16 regarding the adjournment of the House sine die.
