Washington, October 10, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Ashley St. Clair, who says she has a child with billionaire Elon Musk, has alleged that she was offered a financial arrangement worth approximately $40 million in exchange for agreeing to remain silent about their relationship. Musk has denied the allegation, calling it false.

In an interview published by The New York Times on Friday, St. Clair said she rejected a proposed nondisclosure agreement that would have prevented her from discussing the relationship indefinitely.

According to her account, the proposed arrangement included a $15 million lump-sum payment and monthly payments of $100,000 for 21 years, bringing the total to $40.2 million.

“She was never offered that and has a history of making false claims,” Musk wrote on X in response to an earlier report about the alleged offer, according to the newspaper.

St. Clair said the agreement was sent to her by Jared Birchall, Musk’s financial manager, two months after she gave birth to a child in 2024. She alleged that the document was transmitted through the encrypted messaging application Signal and contained restrictions that would have prevented her from discussing the relationship even with family members. According to her, the restrictions would also have applied to her heirs.

She said she rejected the proposed terms, particularly because of their potential implications for her children. The newspaper reported that Musk did not respond to its requests for comment on the interview.

St. Clair’s account comes as she features in Musk, a nearly four-hour documentary directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney that examines the entrepreneur’s personal life, business interests and public influence.

The former conservative social media influencer told the newspaper that her participation was partly motivated by concerns about the influence of wealth and power. She said she had become uncomfortable with the expectation that people should trust powerful individuals simply because of their financial success.

St. Clair said she met Musk in 2023 after he contacted her through Twitter, now known as X. At the time, she was working for conservative satirical publication The Babylon Bee. She said their communication became regular and developed into a personal relationship.

According to her account, Musk raised the possibility of having a child together during a trip to St. Barts in January 2024.

St. Clair also described becoming disillusioned with aspects of the political movement surrounding US President Donald Trump, which she had previously supported. She acknowledged having promoted political positions and rhetoric concerning race, gender and transgender people that she now regrets, adding that her changing views developed gradually and were not solely the result of her dispute with Musk.

Musk has criticised Gibney’s documentary, accusing the filmmaker of relying on people with grievances against him or limited personal knowledge of him.

The financial arrangement described by St. Clair remains a disputed allegation. Her account does not establish that Musk personally authorised the terms she described.

Musk is the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX and the owner of X, with business interests spanning electric vehicles, space exploration, artificial intelligence and digital communications.
