Bharti Airtel on Wednesday announced revised postpaid plans, raising tariffs by around 3 to 10 per cent while adding complimentary international roaming benefits for customers.
The new plans will be available from Thursday and range from Rs 499 per month for an individual connection to Rs 1,799 per month for a family plan covering up to five SIMs.
Under the revised offering, customers will receive one free international roaming trip per SIM every year, along with unlimited data and calling benefits. The complimentary international roaming pack provides 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS, with the benefits valid for five days.
Airtel’s revised individual plan has been increased to Rs 499 from Rs 449. The Rs 749 family plan, earlier priced at Rs 699, will cover two SIMs.
For three SIMs, the monthly tariff has been raised to Rs 1,049 from Rs 999, while the four-SIM plan will cost Rs 1,449, compared with Rs 1,249 earlier.
The five-SIM family plan will be priced at Rs 1,799 and will include a Netflix Standard subscription.
The plans also come with Airtel’s spam and fraud prevention features, along with access to entertainment and other services.
Airtel Director-Market Operations Amit Tripathi said the company was focused on providing postpaid customers with a premium network experience and greater value.
“We are determined to constantly raise the game for customers and give them more and more reasons to choose Airtel Postpaid,” Tripathi said.
The revised plans will be available to all customers opting for Airtel Postpaid from Thursday. Existing Airtel customers, including those on older postpaid plans and prepaid connections, can also upgrade to the new plans.
