Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia on Friday dismissed as “completely false and misleading” reports claiming that Punjab AAP President Aman Arora had been removed from the party’s National Executive.
Sisodia said that under the AAP Constitution, presidents of state units are ex-officio members of the National Executive. Therefore, Arora continues to be a member of the National Executive by virtue of serving as the party’s Punjab President.
In a post on X, Sisodia said media organisations publishing reports about Arora’s alleged removal should have sought the AAP’s version before publishing information that could create unnecessary confusion.
“The reports claiming that AAP Punjab President Aman Arora has been removed from the party’s National Executive are completely false and misleading,” Sisodia said.
He further clarified that the party has reconstituted its National Executive while retaining the organisational provision under which state presidents are included as ex-officio members.
“Accordingly, Aman Arora, by virtue of being the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab President, is a member of the National Executive,” Sisodia said.
He added that presidents of all AAP state units are part of the National Executive under the party’s organisational structure.
