Indore police receive complaint seeking FIR against CJP founder over alleged minor’s injury during Delhi protest

Indore, August 13, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Indore Police have received a written complaint seeking registration of an FIR against CJP founder Abhijit Dipke and other members over an alleged incident involving a minor during a police lathi-charge at a protest in Delhi, an official said on Thursday.

The complaint was submitted by Faizan Ansari, who also recorded his statement with the police regarding the protest held at Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak.

Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotya confirmed that the complaint had been received and said an application was submitted on the basis of Ansari’s statement.

According to the complaint, a 12-year-old girl allegedly suffered an injury to her private parts during the Delhi Police’s lathi-charge on protesters. Ansari has sought registration of an FIR against Dipke and other members and invoked provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Speaking to IANS, Ansari alleged that several minors, including girls, were present at the July 20 demonstration. He claimed that the girl sustained the injury when police used force to disperse protesters.

The complaint concerns the protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where students and their supporters had gathered in connection with the NEET paper leak issue. The demonstration subsequently witnessed a police lathi-charge, following which allegations were raised regarding the use of force against protesters.

Police said further action would be taken after examining the complaint and other material submitted in connection with the allegations.

The allegations made in the complaint have not been independently established.
