Passengers travelling on the Delhi Metro from Sunday should allow additional time for their journeys as the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is set to intensify security checks across Metro stations ahead of Independence Day.
Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director, Corporate Communications, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), said the enhanced security arrangements could lead to longer queues and additional screening time, particularly during peak hours.
The heightened checks are expected to continue until August 16. Dayal urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with security personnel during the screening process.
The DMRC has also begun collating responses under its month-long “12th Online Customer Satisfaction Survey-2026”, which was launched on July 15.
The survey seeks feedback from commuters on different aspects of Metro services and facilities, while also inviting suggestions for improvements. Participants can access the survey through the DMRC’s official website, where links to the questionnaire are available on the homepage.
The survey forms are available in both English and Hindi and cover seven key areas: availability and accessibility, facilities offered to customers, information, quality of services, customer services, areas outside Metro stations, and security, safety and comfort.
The survey will remain open until August 14, with commuters able to provide feedback on various aspects of Metro operations and passenger facilities.
According to the DMRC, the feedback will help assess commuter satisfaction and identify areas where improvements can be made to Metro services and facilities.
