Singer B Praak has opened up about his association with the upcoming film “Prem Keetanu” through its latest song, “Ishq Ka Ghulaam”, describing the experience as “surreal”.
The singer said the track holds a special place for him as it explores love through heartbreak and the grief that follows.
“It feels surreal to be a part of Prem Keetanu through Ishq Ka Ghulaam song, and bring the feeling of love a full circle through heartbreak, followed by the grief that comes with it,” B Praak said.
He added that the song is designed to take listeners through the emotional pain of heartbreak while ultimately rekindling a sense of hope and love.
“‘Ishq Ka Ghulaam’ will make you feel the pain of heartbreak over and over again with the intention to rekindle the feeling of hope and love all over again,” he said.
The song is performed by B Praak and Sukriti Kakar, with music composed by The Rish and lyrics penned by Kunaal Vermaa.
“Ishq Ka Ghulaam” explores the emptiness left behind by love and the memories that remain after someone is gone. Following “Undi Bundi”, “Kaho Toh” and “Tu Mera Raiyyo”, the track adds another romantic dimension to the film’s musical album.
The movie features seven songs and brings together singers including Sachet Tandon, Parampara Tandon, B Praak, Armaan Malik, Papon, Jubin Nautiyal, Madhur Sharma, Altamash Faridi, Shashi Suman and Brijesh Shandilya. Rappers Little Bhatia and Mazemusicc are also part of the album.
Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and produced by Gaurav Verma under Avanika Films, “Prem Keetanu” is co-presented with Phars Films in association with Bhavana Studios.
The film stars Veer Pahariya, Aafiya Sayed, Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay. It follows a group of youngsters as they navigate friendship, first love, one-sided love and the heartbreaks that accompany growing up.
“Prem Keetanu” is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2.
