Mumbai, October 5, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared a late-night reflection on the importance of sleep, describing it as the “best repair mechanism of the human body” while admitting that his demanding schedule often leaves him struggling to make time for it.

Taking to his blog, Bachchan wrote about his attempt to retire early so he could wake up for work, describing the state of mind that comes with preparing for a new day as one filled with thoughts, ideas and renewed determination.

“But tonight is a try … now to retire early and be up for an early wake for work,” he wrote, adding that the feeling brought with it “many thoughts and ideas”, along with the drive to pursue goals that once seemed distant.

The actor also reflected on the sense of energy that comes from having a destination in mind and the determination to reach it on time, before concluding that he needed to get to bed.

Bachchan is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, the official Hindi adaptation of the international quiz show format Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Contestants answer multiple-choice questions and can use designated lifelines when they are unsure of an answer.

On the film front, Bachchan was last seen in T. J. Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan. He is currently working on filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, which also features Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Kalki 2898 AD follows a group of people attempting to protect a woman carrying the unborn Kalki, described as the 10th and final avatar of Lord Vishnu, from the powerful ruler Yaskin.
