The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch a statewide door-to-door campaign in Punjab from Dhuri on September 20 as part of its preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections, AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia announced on Friday.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will lead the campaign from his Dhuri constituency, while party workers, ministers and booth committee members will visit households across the state to highlight the achievements and schemes of the Mann-led government.
Sisodia said the campaign would take the government’s work directly to people and would also mark the beginning of a membership drive. According to the party, around 2.68 lakh booth committee members will participate in the statewide outreach covering all polling booths in Punjab.
Addressing reporters, Sisodia claimed that the government had done more than what was promised to the people before the 2022 Assembly elections. He said Punjab had made progress in sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, trade, employment and sports.
He said the government had fulfilled its responsibilities and continued to work, and that it was now the responsibility of the party organisation to take its achievements to every household.
“Thus, from September 20, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will kick off a door-to-door campaign from Dhuri,” Sisodia said.
He added that party workers, ministers and booth committee members would subsequently visit households across Punjab to explain how, according to the AAP, the government’s initiatives had benefited families and contributed to the state’s development.
Sisodia also said the party’s 2.68 lakh booth committee members would explain the schemes and policies implemented by the Mann government during the campaign.
Before the statewide outreach begins, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is scheduled to release the AAP’s election campaign pamphlet in Ludhiana on September 19. The pamphlet is expected to outline the campaign framework and key messages that the party plans to take to the public.
The AAP’s campaign comes ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections and is aimed at taking the party’s account of the Mann government’s tenure directly to voters across the state.
