Actor Suriya delivered an uplifting message about resilience and second chances at the audio and trailer launch of his upcoming film Scene, urging fans to keep believing in life and working towards their goals.
The actor said that setbacks should never be considered final as long as a person is alive, stressing that determination and hard work must accompany the power of positive thinking.
“We had told you that what you manifest, you will become. But don’t stop with just manifestation alone. Work hard at what you want to achieve. Work for it at the grass roots level,” Suriya said.
He added: “As long as we breathe, everything is subject to review. Everything can be changed. Everything can be corrected. As long as you breathe, nothing is a defeat, nothing has ended, nothing has broken. You can set right everything. You can make a comeback. You can start from the beginning again and set things right. Believe in life. Life is beautiful.”
The event also saw the release of the trailer of Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan, which introduces Suriya as Inbaraj, a police officer who decides to resign from the force, leaving his colleagues and seniors surprised.
The trailer offers a mix of comedy, action and crime drama. Inbaraj refuses to follow repeated orders from his superior officer Stephen, played by Lal, and is eventually carried to his office by policemen after declining to cooperate with an arrest attempt. When asked about his plans after quitting the force, he says he intends to enter politics.
Nazriya Nazim plays Maya, who turns up in response to an advertisement for a house help. The story also features Eeswaran, a ruthless criminal played by Naslen, who sees Inbaraj as a worthy opponent. The trailer includes action sequences featuring Nazriya as well.
Produced by Zhagaram Studios, the film was earlier referred to as Suriya 47. It also stars John Vijay and Anandaraj in pivotal roles.
With cinematography by Vineeth Augustian, music by Sushin Shyam and editing by Ajmal Sabu, Scene is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6, coinciding with Deepavali.
