Singer Shaan has praised his wife, Radhika Mukherji, for observing Karwa Chauth every year since their marriage in 2000, revealing that this year’s celebration marked her 26th consecutive fast.
The singer shared a video on social media showing Radhika performing the Karwa Chauth puja, with Shaan standing beside her during the celebrations.
In his post, Shaan said Radhika had never missed observing the festival in their 26 years of marriage. He also revealed that she observes a complete fast without even drinking water.
Admitting that it took him some time to appreciate the tradition, Shaan said he was impressed by his wife’s commitment and the calmness with which she observes the fast.
“I cannot help but count myself to be so lucky and blessed to have such a giving and loving Life Partner,” he wrote, expressing his admiration for Radhika’s dedication.
Shaan and Radhika married in November 2000 and have two sons, Soham and Shubh. The couple celebrated their silver jubilee wedding anniversary in November 2025.
On their 25th anniversary, Shaan had shared a photograph with Radhika and reflected on their journey together. He recalled once thinking that 25 years of marriage would mean growing old and preparing for retirement, but said life with her had made every day feel fresh and beautiful.
“The magic has just begun,” he had written in his anniversary message.
