‘Lock Upp 2’ winner Shreya Kalra has credited her victory to her fellow contestants, saying their decision to distance themselves from her ultimately helped her emerge as the champion of the captive reality show.
Speaking to the media after lifting the trophy, Shreya said she was never against everyone in the house, but claimed that her rivals created such circumstances by “cornering” her, which eventually strengthened her journey towards the finale.
“I was never one versus all, they made it, and that is their fault. They cornered me and made me a finalist and gave me a trophy,” Shreya said.
She alleged that despite her attempts to build friendships inside the show, several contestants did not make similar efforts to understand her. Recalling her interactions with fellow participants, she said she shared food when possible, supported others during tasks and even helped contestants despite personal differences.
Shreya also cited an instance involving Shivangi, saying she cheered for her while competing for the gang leader position and had offered her a premium plate despite having the option to keep it for herself.
The reality show winner further claimed that many contestants focused more on discussing their own achievements rather than knowing her journey.
“Ask the interviewers how much they know about me,” she said, suggesting that her personality and efforts were not fully recognised by her fellow contestants.
Shreya walked away with the ‘Lock Upp 2’ trophy along with a cash prize of ₹1 crore. Shivangi Joshi emerged as the first runner-up, while Ram Kapoor, Shilpa Shinde and Yogesh Rawat were among the other finalists.
Before the finale, Varun Yadav and Akanksha Chamola were eliminated from the competition. Akanksha’s eviction came after Yogesh, Shreya and Varun unanimously voted her out following a decision-making task assigned by host Riteish Deshmukh.
