The Punjab Vidhan Sabha has clarified that reports claiming the membership of MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal in the Assembly’s Privileges Committee had been rejected are incorrect.
An official spokesperson for the Punjab Vidhan Sabha said that Bhola Grewal had himself requested nomination to a different committee instead of the Privileges Committee.
In view of his request, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has nominated the MLA as a member of the Government Assurances Committee of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
The spokesperson added that an official notification regarding the change was being issued.
The clarification came after reports circulated in sections of the media suggesting that Bhola Grewal’s membership of the Privileges Committee had been rejected.
