Former couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor shared a warm moment at the IIFA press conference in Mumbai on Thursday, exchanging a hug and an air kiss that quickly caught attention.
In a video from the event, Kareena notices Shahid and leans in to greet him with a hug and an air kiss. The two former co-stars then exchange pleasantries before going their separate ways.
The interaction recalls a similar moment at last year’s IIFA press conference, when Kareena embraced Shahid. The two were also seen chatting on stage alongside other celebrities, including Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon and Karan Johar. Their friendly exchange had generated considerable attention on social media.
Kareena and Shahid were among Bollywood’s much-discussed couples during the 2000s and appeared together in films such as Fida, Chup Chup Ke and Jab We Met. The two reportedly parted ways before Jab We Met was filmed, although their on-screen pairing remains popular among fans.
Kareena is now married to actor Saif Ali Khan, and the couple have two sons. Shahid is married to Mira Rajput, and they have a son and a daughter.
Meanwhile, the 27th edition of IIFA Weekend and Awards is scheduled to take place at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on January 22 and 23, 2027.
Varun Dhawan and Ananya Panday are set to host the awards ceremony alongside Karan Johar and Manish Paul. Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are also expected to perform at the event.
