Actor Kushal Tandon has reacted to the discussion about him between Shreya Kalra and Shivangi Joshi on the recently concluded reality show “Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa”, joking that his name has generated so much content across television shows that he may as well start charging for it.
Kushal told IANS that he had jokingly sent a bill to the show’s makers, complete with GST, after his conversations became a recurring topic beyond the reality show he was associated with.
“I have sent a bill to the lock-up with my GST because in Multiverse my talks were going everywhere outside the house, inside the house and in other shows. So I have sent a bill to the lock-up. I am signed in their company, so they will give me a cheque very soon,” he said.
Kushal was associated with the recently concluded show “Alliance”, which featured 16 contestants entering the competition as allies before shifting loyalties, deception and strategic gameplay tested their relationships.
“Alliance” began streaming on June 26. The Hindi-language series is the first international adaptation of Talpa Studios’ Dutch format created by John de Mol and is produced by Banijay Asia.
Kushal has been a familiar face on television, having gained popularity for his roles as Virat Vadhera in “Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai”, Arjun Sharma in “Beyhadh” and Reyansh Lamba in “Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka”. He has also participated in reality shows including “Nach Baliye”, “Bigg Boss” and “Khatron Ke Khiladi”.
Meanwhile, Shreya Kalra lifted the “Lock Upp 2” trophy on August 5. Shivangi Joshi finished as the first runner-up, while Yogesh Rawat emerged as the second runner-up.
Shreya, who hails from Indore, first appeared on MTV’s “Roadies” in 2020 as a wildcard contestant on Nikhil Chinapa’s team. She later featured in the music video “Zariya Tu” alongside Paras Kalnawat.
“Lock Upp 2” featured 14 inmates and two jailers over six weeks. Contestants were required to complete tasks to earn in-game currency that could be used for necessities such as food and supplies, as well as various privileges.
