The Rupnagar District Bar Association organised a special function to formally welcome District and Sessions Judge Harjit Singh Khalsa following his assumption of charge in Rupnagar. Office-bearers of the association and a large number of advocates attended the event to extend their greetings to the newly appointed judge.
During the function, District Bar Association president Rajinder Singh Raju and other members honoured Judge Harjit Singh Khalsa by presenting him with a bouquet. Representatives of the legal fraternity also shared their views and welcomed him to his new assignment.
Addressing the gathering, Rajinder Singh Raju, along with advocates G.P.S. Dheer, Surajpal Singh, Charanjit Singh Ghai, Tara Singh Chahal and others, welcomed the judge on assuming charge in Rupnagar.
The speakers expressed hope that stronger coordination and cooperation between the Bar and the Bench would help make judicial proceedings smoother and more efficient.
District and Sessions Judge Harjit Singh Khalsa interacted with members of the Bar Association and expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and honour extended to him.
