Harman Singha on Munawar Faruqui: ‘His Reputation Walks Into a Room Before He Does’

Mumbai, August 19, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Actor Harman Singha, who was recently evicted from the reality show The Traitors, has praised fellow contestant and comedian Munawar Faruqui, saying his reputation precedes him whenever he enters a room.

Speaking to IANS after his exit from the show, Harman discussed whether contestants with strong reputations or backgrounds in reality television face a disadvantage in a format such as The Traitors.

He said contestants who have already established themselves through their work or previous reality shows are naturally perceived as bigger threats by others.

“Munawar is the best example of this. Before Munawar, his reputation walks into a room, and he would agree with it,” Harman said.

The actor also drew a parallel with his brother, Rannvijay Singha, while discussing the pressure faced by contestants with established reputations.

Harman said Rannvijay would likely have encountered the same challenge as Munawar on the show.

“When the opening batsman comes to hit the century on 30 balls, then all the bowlers, all the fielders get scared. That’s what happened,” he said.

Harman revealed that he and Rannvijay had discussed the possibility of him being targeted before he entered the show. According to him, they had agreed that his established identity could make him an early target regardless of whether he was a traitor or innocent.

However, Harman admitted that he wished he had learned more from his brother before participating in the show.

“He knows all these things very well. He is very established in reality shows. This was the first experience for me,” he said.

Harman exited The Traitors alongside Karan Singh, Soundous Mouafakir and Munawar Faruqui.
